TRAINING LOCATION: The May 17, May 19, June 8 and June 14 training dates will be held at Southwest Human Development's Main Office located at 2850 N. 24th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008. The May 4, May 9, May 10, May 24 and June 27 training dates will be facilitated at Southwest Human Development's 40 Palms Office located at 4041 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85008. Trauma has a disruptive and potentially long-lasting impact on children, families, and communities. A trauma-informed approach to services supports well-being and recovery. Southwest Human Development is offering trauma-informed trainings designed for pediatric behavioral health providers participating in the AHCCCS Targeted Investments (TI) Program who work with children ages birth to 18. Core Areas of Focus Principles of trauma-informed care and implications of trauma in childhood The impact of trauma on relationships and the importance of relationships in helping children heal from trauma Characteristics of evidence-based trauma-informed practices Eligibility Trauma-informed care training is open to participants in the AHCCCS Targeted Investment (TI) Program in pediatric behavioral health including clinicians, supervisors and case managers who work with children ages birth to 18.
